Providing sustainable local solutions that deliver concurrent environmental, social and economic benefits in the East Midlands.

The East Midlands is a dynamic, vibrant and diverse region. The population of around 4.2 million is spread across one of the country's more rural regions, despite it being well served by the five key urban areas of Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Lincoln and Northampton.

Trust coverage has expanded significantly over recent years.  We operate in 36 of the region's Local Authority areas, accounting for 3.8 million people that between them cover over 90% of the region's population.

Groundwork East Midlands is the regional office serving our seven local Trusts.

The role of Groundwork East Midlands is to:

• Support individual Trusts to develop a range of activities and share good practice
• Support, develop and expand the Groundwork regional network of partnerships to improve service delivery
• Expand Groundwork activities across the region
• Develop new programme areas with public, private and voluntary partner organisations
